Thanks for finally bringing some clarification to this issue, we have been asking about it since about the release of Opera 16. Nothing like that is feasible or another solution to make Opera processes persist better? (What I don't know is if each tab would have to have its own notification or if you can make a single notification for Opera or suppress the notification altogether.)

įrom my understanding you can tell the Android OS to make Opera a high-priority process so it'll not be killed that easily by the automatic memory managing, at the cost of displaying a persistent notification for Opera in the status bar. However, there's a programming method to keep the app alive. And Android decides on its own to kill Opera's tabs sometimes and that's what causes the issue.
